This Chase Court wedding was quite bittersweet. When I met with Lauren, she let me know that they were planning this wedding on a sped-up timeline, with the hopes that her mother would be able to be there to see her daughter get married. Sadly, 2 weeks before the wedding, her mom succumbed to the aggressive brain cancer. Many special touches were present throughout Lauren+Kuda’s wedding day to remember her mom, including her necklace. Lauren and her matron of honor, Jen, kept the mood light while getting ready, and we all laughed as Lauren tried to apply lipgloss to the usually makeup-free Jen! Surrounding themselves with loved ones and close friends, Lauren+Kuda’s Chase Court wedding ceremony was thoughtful, personal, and touching. After they said their own vows to one another (which Lauren managed to get “swamp-ass” into!), we headed over to Patterson Park to get some photos at the Pagoda! They were lucky to have a friend who had the key, and came over to let them go up inside the pagoda for some beautiful portraits. Then we headed back to the elegant Chase Court wedding venue, where the party was ready to start! About mid-way through the night, my iWatch started buzzing something fierce, and everyone’s phones rang out in symphony, with a tornado warning! Looking outside, the skies had indeed darkened and the wind had picked up. A nasty storm had descended upon us, flooding the walkways & roads around us. But just as quickly as it started, it ended, and the high waters drained away. Thankfully, I was able to steal the newlyweds for a few night shots outside! I was lucky to work alongside of the Black Tie Video team that day – they are always fun to have around & are easy to work with. Lauren+Kuda – you guys rock! Thank you for allowing me to document your Chase Court wedding day! Much Love, ♥ tPoz

Amazing photographs of a sweet, sweet wedding! Thank you!!!
What a cool venue! You made it look so elegant!
Wow, bittersweet for sure. I’m sure they will treasure these photos and look back on them fondly as good memories during such a tough time. I love what you captured at Patterson Park especially!
Oh gosh, that’s absolutely devastating about her mom. Life is so unfair sometimes. It looks like they were able to honor her and have a beautiful, fun day. Gorgeous photos, Teri.
First I’m so glad they were able to all be together and honor her mother will celebrating their love for each other. I’m sure it was such a hard day but they clearly have a ton of fun tougher. I that you got some iconic B-more portraits too!
This is beautiful, Teri! I love the way you captured Chase Court — so amazing!
