Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum Wedding :: Laurie+Greg

I couldn’t have been more excited for Laurie+Greg’s Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum wedding, and I was certainly not disappointed! I mean, this couple is gorgeous already, but I was obsessed with the attire and details that they chose for their wedding day!  When Laurie told me she was flying out to LA to try on some Grace Loves Lace gowns, I was practically drooling with excitement!  Similarly, Greg’s chic style complimented hers – those custom made pants with the Indochino jackets… on point!!

We watched and fretted over the weather that whole week, seeing potential storms, winds & cool temperatures.  And although the clouds parted for the sun to shine, it was windy and very chilly, so they decided to move their Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum wedding ceremony from the Tolchester Beach Bandstand to inside the Small Boat Shed.  As a result, the ceremony was even more intimate and cozy, with their guests snuggling with blankets, and enjoying pre-ceremony Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, and Spicy Moscow Mules!  Ceremony snacks – brilliant idea!!   

The Maryland Wedding Venue

The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is a beautiful Maryland wedding venue, and there are lots of little nooks to get some amazing wedding portraits!  The Hooper Strait Lighthouse is an icon of the Maryland waterfront, and helped to create some light and airy photos. In contrast, the dark clouds mixed with the bright sunshine made for quite the dramatic backdrop to wedding party portraits onboard the newly restored Edna E. Lockwood boat! I loved the way the sunlight danced off both the water and the sparkly bridesmaids dresses!

After the vows were sealed with a kiss, the party kicked off under a sailcloth tent on Navy Point, with Ken’s Creative Kitchen providing an amazing meal, and DJ Buddha keeping the dance floor packed!  The donut wall was a huge hit, and after the bride+groom had their chance, guests took turns removing donuts with no hands! Megan from Carried Away Florals & Events kept the day running smoothly, as well as prettying up the space with the floral arrangements and bouquets!

Laurie+Greg – I wish we could do this incredible day over & over again!  Congratulations on your Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum wedding!  Much Love, ♥ tPoz












Greg had asked Laurie what she wanted as a wedding gift, and she told him an elephant!  😀 




They had met each other on their friend’s boat, so it was perfect that they traveled from the hotel to the venue via said boat!
