With the heat index at 112degrees, it was easily one of, if not the hottest day of the year. But nevermind the blazing hot weather – we had some family portraits to capture!! I’m always honored when anyone asks me to photograph them, and especially so when it’s one of my fellow animal rescuer friends! Nejla works tirelessly to get as many animals to rescue, fostered or adopted at BARCS Animal Shelter. For her birthday this year, she wanted a family portrait session with her parents, and she was keeping it a surprise for them! So when I showed up, they still had no idea what was going on, or who I was – but that didn’t stop them from offering me plates of food & drink!
So after they found out why I was there, Nejla’s mom told me that the only way that I can photograph her is if I make her look 21. I tried to negotiate with her, and said, “how about 25?” She wasn’t having it! haha! And that is how the rest of the session went – they kept me laughing behind the camera, and we hardly even noticed the scorching heat (ok, that’s a lie)!! Nejla’s dad had a permanent smile on his face, and kept trying to steal kisses from his wife – A.DOR.A.BLE.
Nejla – HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Thank you for allowing me to capture your family and the love that you guys have for one another. Much Love, ♥ tPoz
