Pushing what I love…

I’m one of those people who loves to shout it from the rooftops when I’ve had a good experience, or enjoyed a product, or more specifically – when I didn’t.  My friends know all too well that if something goes wrong, I’m already composing a stern letter in my head, or posting a scathing review online.   And you really don’t want to get one of those letters/reviews.  If all stores/companies knew how much free advertising I could give them, I would imagine they would all start treating me *really well*, or well, just doing their dang job!   🙂
It’s really refreshing to have a great experience, especially in my neck of the woods, from a small business…so the rooftop shouting shall commence!

Ruben.  Seriously dude.  You ROCK.   Ruben’s Crepes is located at 1043 South Charles Street in Federal Hill.  This is the same guy making weekly appearances at local Maryland & Virginia Farmer’s Markets, selling well over 200 crepes each morning.  I don’t know what took hubby & I so long to check out his FedHill storefront, but we finally did this past Saturday. It was 8:30pm, and he was getting ready to close at 9pm.  And then reopen again for the late night crowd from 12a-3:30am!  And then be at the JFX Farmer’s Market at 7am.  Talk about a hard worker.

Upon Ruben’s recommendations, I had the #20 – Carne Asada, chopped tomato, cilantro, jalapeno, onion, mexican cheese & salsa verde ($8). Poz had the beef tacos (3 for $9), and the #17 – chicken, beans, pico de gallo, chipotle sauce & mexican cheese ($8). And we split the #7 – Banana, Peanut Butter, Chocolate Syrup & Marshmellow ($7).   I don’t even like banana’s, and I couldn’t get enough!  This Mexican chow was so good & fresh, I could have sworn I was back in Cancun, working Spring Break, doing late night runs to the taco trucks!  Deeeee-lish!
So, RUN – don’t walk – You MUST MUST check it out! http://rubenscrepes.vpweb.com/

This is Ruben  🙂
That’s Poz, waiting for our order up!
