The Oaks Waterfront Wedding : Nikki+Jim

If I could photograph this wedding every.single.day…I totally would. Nicole+Jim planned the most perfect celebration of their love, surrounded by their amazing family and friends, at a gorgeous venue. The details were lush, soft and romantic, with personal touches dotted throughout. Mother Nature eased up on the rain, heat & humidity for us, and the weekend was simply perfect, with beautiful rays of sunlight. The weekend started off with their rehearsal on the grounds of The Oaks in St. Michaels, continued with a casual BBQ dinner under the covered pier, and was completed with the ceremony under the shady trees, and DJ Steve Moody kept the reception rockin in the ballroom.

One of my favorite parts of the day – Jim+Nicole did a First Look, which was such a special moment just for the two of them, carved out of the crazy day ahead of them. For Jim to see his bride for the first time, to twirl her around in her gorgeous dress, and to let a joyous tear slide down his face, without everyone watching. The embrace that they shared gave me goosebumps, and is the backbone of why I love what I do – I love LOVE.
