“Baby, Baby…I get down on my knees for youuuuu…..ba-dum. ba-dum. ba-dum. ba-dum-bum-dum…..If you would only love meeee, like you used to doooo, yeah.” Karen certainly hadn’t lost that loving feeling, but was loving all the boys serenading her a la “Top Gun”!! LOVED IT!!
While keeping them separate, so as to not see each other, both Karen and Sean prepped for their big day surrounded by their friends, at the Thomas Birkby House in Leesburg, VA. As Karen’s mom helped her into her gorgeous Maggie Sottero Miri dress, her bridesmaids were busy steaming their dresses (while they were in them!!) Meanwhile, the boys were enjoying a cold beverage, and straightening bow ties!
When it was go time, the bridal party walked down the street to the Leesburg Presbyterian Church, which had incredible light pouring through the windows! After their short and sweet “I Do’s”, we were off to Ida Lee Park, for some bridal party pictures, and some sweet time with just the bride and groom. Then the limo hustled us back to the Thomas Birkby House, where the party was ready to get underway! I absolutely adored the decor – the lantern balls, the candy buffet, the cornhole, and that CAKE!?! wow, that cake! Market Salamander outdid themselves with this ruffle-y layered delight!
The evening ended with a spectacular sparkler exit, right before Karen+Sean were whisked away to start their new forever. Thank you Karen+Sean for allowing me to capture this big day – We had a great time with you guys! And a big thanks to my second shooter, Jamie Compofelice, for helping to capture the moments!
