After their super-fun engagement session, I knew that Anna+Mike’s wedding ceremony at the Baltimore Basilica, with an Engineers Club wedding reception was going to be nothing short of fabulous! With the sun shining and a perfect breeze blowing, it was quite the perfect day for these two lov-ahs! However, when I arrived at the Basilica, I was disappointed to see scaffolding covered one whole side of the building, and the inside was draped with low hanging cloths. Anna handled the renovations to the Basilica’s exterior and the grand ceilings with simple grace, and recognized what the important part of the day was.
I met the girls at the Basilica for some portraits before the ceremony, and absolutely gushed over Anna’s Wtoo wedding gown and bouquets by My Flower Box Events. The boys arrived a little bit later, and everyone was sweetly focused on not letting the bride & groom see each other before the ceremony! The ceremony was heartfelt, and sweet, and I was lucky to have the fabulous Jamie C Photography along to help capture it.
After the ceremony, I got to spend a little time photographing Mike & Anna around the Basilica grounds, and along the walk to the Engineers Club. There are some seriously beautiful spots in Mount Vernon, including around the Washington Monument, and in the Engineers Club itself!
These two hosted such a fun reception, with lots of dancing, courtesy of DJ Alkimist from Scratch Weddings. The food was delish as always, and Sugarbakers Cakes provided the scrumptious and gorgeous cake. Anna+Mike – you guys are such a beautiful couple & I had such a great time photographing your wedding!
Much Love, ♥ tPoz
