When I get the chance in my crazy schedule, I love to shoot with other photographers. And I was thrilled to be the second shooter for this amazing Four Seasons Baltimore wedding for Judah Avenue Photography last year! Both the bride and groom hailed from a West African background, and I was enthralled with the culture, traditions, and LOVE that filled the day! I spent the morning with the guys getting ready in one of the suites, and was drooling over the groom’s Louboutin’s! After a very heartfelt ceremony, cocktail hour was held on the deck at The Four Seasons, and while the breeze kept everyone comfortable, the string quartet kept everyone entertained! The ballroom at the Four Seasons Baltimore was decorated beautifully, the groom’s cake was amazing (even if it wasn’t for the best team!) and the dessert buffet was quite lavish. But what struck me most of all was the intense emotion that filled the reception – guests shook white handkerchiefs as the bride and groom made their grand entrance, and had the whole room shaking! They performed a traditional dance that almost everyone participated in. And family members brought their own patterned fabric that was laid down for the bride and groom to walk upon, which symbolized giving them the clothes off of their backs. I couldn’t help but leave this wedding with a part of their energy inside of me – happy, proud, and loving.
Congratulations!! Much Love, tPoz
