What a wild and crazy destination wedding weekend for Jay+Jaime! Â Whisking themselves, along with family and close friends, away to beautiful Key West, they were ready for a relaxed, intimate and FUN wedding! Â Kicking the festivities off, the Sunset Pier was host to the Welcome Party and refreshing cocktails! Â Guests received a welcome bag, filled with items to help make their stay in Key West the best!
The morning of their wedding day, we woke to some crazy weather outside – the sky was black and it was storming pretty crazy. Â The rain was torrential, the roads were flooding, and the lightning so close, I thought I had gotten hit once as I was out on the balcony!! Â The weather really hampered our plans for portraits before the ceremony, but Jay+Jaime had a “First Look” in the hallway, and was so fun to capture, as Jay turned around to be blown away by his stunning bride-to-be!
As luck would have it, about 20 minutes before the ceremony was scheduled to start, the sky began to brighten, and the rain stopped. Â Just in time for Jaime’s walk down the aisle, the bright hot sun broke through the clouds, and lit up the deck of the Ocean Key Resort. Â Keeping the wedding intimate, Â Jaime’s cousin, Kyle, walked her down the aisle to Paul McCartney’s “Maybe I’m Amazed” and their good friend, “Reverend” Dustin, officiated the ceremony. Â Springsteen lyrics were offered as a reading, and after they kissed, “She’s the One” played as the new Mr.+Mrs. recessed down the aisle.
After guests enjoyed a lovely cocktail hour on the deck, and Jay+Jaime changed into more boat-worthy apparel, the whole party moved down the docks to the waiting Fury catamaran. Â A sunset cruise, with a 2-man band, good food and plenty of libations, was the most perfect way to celebrate Jay+Jaime’s marriage. Â Lots of dancing, singing, and laughter filled the air, and the weather remained simply perfect as the sun set on this amazing day. Truth be told – with the relaxed and lively atmosphere, this ranks up there with the most FUN weddings I’ve ever photographed! Â Jay+Jaime – thank you SO much for allowing me to capture your big day! Â I wish you nothing but love, happiness, and amazing music to accompany your lives together.
Much Love, ♥ tPoz
