Port Annapolis Marina Wedding :: Kate+Mike

Kate and her bridesmaids prepped for her Port Annapolis Marina wedding in the bridal cottage with card games and champagne, while an iPod played in the background.  Every now and then, a bridesmaid would get a note from a song, and start bustin a move!  I couldn’t help but laugh right along with them and get into the groove!  After getting Kate into her LulaKate dress, and opening the beautiful gift that Mike had sent her, we set her up for the “First Look” with both her dad and her groom.

If you need another reason to do a “First Look” on your wedding day – just check out the faces of these two guys, when they first got a peek at their daughter/soon-to-be-wife!!  Incredible love and emotion poured forth, as they took the time to appreciate what they were there for that day.  Dad was able to hug his daughter, and kiss his little girl.  While Mike was able to actually see his bride up close, spin her around to take in her gorgeous gown, and disperse of any of those pre-wedding jitters with one of Kate’s reassuring hugs.  In case you couldn’t tell… I’m a HUGE fan of the “First Look!”

A gentle breeze and bright sunshine made this Saturday in May, the most perfect day for a waterfront wedding at the Port Annapolis Marina in Annapolis, MD.  My Flower Box Events provided stunning florals for the day…but funny story – Kate was so excited to marry the man of her dreams, that she practically skipped down the aisle, forgetting to take her bouquet with her!  Beautiful light touched the couple as they said their own vows to one another.  Mike got a laugh out of everyone as he momentarily forgot, and tried to kiss Kate before it was time!  His response to the crowd?  “Sorry – it’s my first time!” After he was officially allowed to kiss his bride, Kate+Mike were pronouced married and their happily ever after begun! The fantabulous party got started with a bang, and ended with a superfun sparkler exit!  Kate+Mike danced along the waterfront to the waiting water taxi, scooting them off to their afterparty at Pussers!

Kate+Mike – you guys are amazing!  Thanks for allowing me to capture your big day!
