As I prepared to photograph my little brother’s Florida Destination Wedding, so many different emotions flooded through me….excited, nostalgic, anxious, eager, scared….My little brother was getting MAAAAAARRIED! The pressure was on to produce images that not only will THEY look at for their lifetime…but so will I!
Jason and Jenn faced a huge challenge, planning their Florida wedding from their new home in Germany, where they are both stationed with the Air Force. But betweens lots of emails, skype sessions, and shipping arrangements, they really nailed the wedding that they dreamed of!
After primping at the beauty salon, Jenn and her MOH, Devon, prepped back at the Summerwind Condos, and Jenn slipped into her Egypt style Blue by Enzoani gown from Betsy Robinson’s. Adorned with jewelry, both sentimental and sparkly kinds, her head crowned with the veil borrowed from her MOH, Jenn was absolutely a bridal vision, and glowed with excitement! Meanwhile, the boys were upstairs prepping on their own – which unsupervised, means a few beverages may have been consumed 😉 Jenn and I drove over to The Soundside Club at Hurlburt Field, and as we sat in traffic on the bridge, we laughed as the people in the cars all gasped & waved to the beautiful bride with her poofed out dress in the front seat!
We arrived for the bride & groom’s First Look, and you could feel the excitement building! You all know how much I love First Look’s, and luckily it didn’t take much convincing on their parts to do one!! I couldn’t help but tear up behind the camera, as Jason saw his radiant bride for the first time, and a small tear slid down his own face. (geez – I just teared remembering this!) Laughter saved us all from becoming a hot red-faced mess.
Uncle Bob officiated the intimate ceremony out in the gazebo, and by the powers vested in him by the American Legion, he pronounced them husband and wife! The party was ON after that! Dancing, great food, and good times with friends and family filled the night, and smiles never left their faces. A big thank you to Michael Newman for 2nd shooting with me, and allowing me to actually be in some of the pictures!
Jason+Jenn – I hope I captured the day just as you imagined. I love you both like crazy!
Much Love, ♥ tPoz
This is not an uncommon thing for me to be shaking it on the dance floor with my camera in hand! 😉Me & my new nephew, Collin! He loves Aunt Teri & the M&M’s she gives him 😉
