Most brides & grooms say that they want their wedding to be the best party that they have ever thrown. Well Lindsey+Lucas’ The Water’s Edge at Marshy Point wedding was JUST THAT! I was blown away by the sheer amount of FUN that this wedding had in store for the guests – between a waterfront view on a gorgeous summer night, a beer canoe, cornhole galore, an oyster shucker, instax photos, orange/grapefruit/arnoldpalmer Crush Stations, a super moon, sparklers, hot dogs & popcorn for late night snacks, and Deejay John Paul Berry from Absolute Entertainment rocking the dance floor – what else could anyone ask for!?
Lindsey & the girls prepped in the main house, and the energy was super fun! The bridesmaids had all been instructed to pick out a blush/peachy dress, and I was gaga over each of their selections! But I really had to wipe the drool away when it came to Lindsey’s GORGEous Essence of Australia gown from Bridals by Elena! Simply stunning! Lindsey did a First Look with her dad and her brother, and I almost lost it, seeing the heartfelt emotion cross their faces. As she was waiting for the ceremony to start, a gift was delivered from Lucas – a framed photo of the bench in front of which they were to be married. On it he had written “Lindsey, meet me here at 5:30p… to begin the rest of our lives together” <—THAT is just how sweet their love is!! (check out their super sweet engagement session here and here)
After the beautiful waterfront ceremony, (complete with some boating wedding crashers!), I got to spend a little bit of time with the newlyweds, photographing them around the property. The Water’s Edge at Marshy Point is such an amazing venue – with a dock, a little beach, and beautiful waterviews, and I really hope I get to shoot more weddings here!
Dish catering really put on an all-star show for this wedding, with amazing apps – mini grilled cheese & tomato soup – and gourmet stations including seafood, pasta, beef & chicken. They also took the lead with coordinating the day, and not one detail was flawed! My Flower Box Events designed some distinctly luscious florals, and I gushed over Lindsey’s bouquet!
After a full night of dancing, singing along to the music, and having the best day of their lives, Luke+Lindsey floated out of their reception via a sparkler exit!
L+L – Thank you so much for trusting me to capture the moments of your big day! Jamie & I had an AMAZING time, and I literally loved everything about your wedding – can we do it all again!?! L+L’s family – thank you for treating us like one of your own!
Much Love, ♥ tPoz
