This Longwood Gardens engagement session was just a dream to photograph! Early one Sunday morning, I met Mallorie+Anthony in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, as soon as Longwood Gardens opened, to take advantage of the smaller crowds. The sun was brilliantly shining, as we explored the grounds, and the greenhouses of the compound. Between the flower gardens, the meadow, the conservatory & the water gardens – there is just SO much to offer for an engagement session backdrop! The Main Fountain Garden offers an epic dancing water show, set to music, and is truly mesmerizing. Pro Tip: The Exhibition Hall and Conservatory offer indoor options in the event of inclement weather, but do note that humidity may be a factor in some indoor spaces!
For the next two weeks, the Orchid Extravaganza is going on, with an explosion of color in orchid orbs. You can purchase timed tickets on the Longwood website. Adult tickets are $25 per person. With a hand stamp, you are free to leave & come back later that day, which is perfect to allow clients to go out to your car, for an outfit change, or just to grab a picnic lunch after you have finished exploring. There is also a cafe, a Beer Garden and a full-service restaurant on site, in case you need to refuel! I’m so excited to capture another couple in this gorgeous place – will it be you next?!
Mallorie+Anthony were naturals in front of the camera during their Longwood Gardens engagement session. They had no problem smooching and snuggling, and just generally acting cute! I loved that they ended the session in the parking lot (can you tell!? even their parking lot is pretty!), showing off their adored Maryland flag, socks & their custom engagement sign. M+A – I can’t wait for your upcoming Mountain Branch wedding! Much Love, ♥ tPoz
