This past fall, Kara+Evan’s Wilde Lake Engagement Session was everything I could have asked for! The glowy golden light, colorfully changing foliage, and a couple madly in love with each other made my job easy. I had never been to Wilde Lake in Columbia, Maryland before; I’m so glad that they picked this spot! The Wilde Lake Loop is a little over 1.3 miles, which was a great stroll to stretch the legs. The paved trail is peaceful and scenic, right in the middle of a neighborhood. A small stream rolls by under a little footbridge. There is a small parking area, as well as street parking, making it a convenient spot.
Evan had proposed to Kara after sitting on one of the benches around the lake, so we went back to recreate the moment! Walking around the entire lake, there were lots of nooks with beautiful light coming through, which gave us endless snuggle spots. We ended back where we began with some shots of a brilliant Kara’s gorgeous rose gold engagement ring. Finishing up the session creating one of my favorites – a sunset silhouette shot.
These two have had quite an adventurous last few months! About 4 days after their Wilde Lake engagement session, they packed up and moved to Knoxville, TN. And then they really lucked out, and managed to have their pre – Covid-19 wedding in Alabama right before everything shut down around the country! Congratulations Kara+Evan!! Much Love, ♥ tPoz
